Tools | The BeautyBlender – My Version of the Easter Egg

“Hello, do you have the BeautyBlender? The pink sponge shaped like an egg?” I remember looking for the BeautyBlender in 2009 at Sephora ION in Singapore. The lady said, they have had a lot of inquiries about it but they’ve never really had it in their store. So she showed me an alternative, a yellow egg-shaped sponge. I wasn’t interested in it, I wasn’t sure why. Probably because it wasn’t the BeautyBlender I was looking for. So I didn’t settle and thought I should just order online via sephora.com or something. I would always try to order online and have it shipped from the US to Manila but I would always have my issues with the shipping costs. Or I was too afraid I would never receive it or if I did, I would need to pay for taxes. 

So when I learned that my Tita is in SoCal, I thought it was the perfect time! My Tita did not find the BeautyBlender in any Sephora store she went to, so she ordered via Amazon.com and had it shipped to where she was staying. I asked (or begged) for her to get me the BeautyBlender and a Cinema Secrets Foundation Palette (which deserves its own post). And so super thanks to her, I got the best Pink Easter Eggs a makeup enthusiast could ever have on Easter Sunday!

I tried it today, What’s the main difference? It only takes a little product for the whole face! It seems like it doesn’t absorb the product, like a normal cosmetic sponge would. That, or the Cinema Secrets Foundation doesn’t need much to cover. When it got damp, it got a lot bigger than the normal size. I wonder if it will ever go back to same size when it dries up.
